About Me:
Professional History- I began my career in the non-profit youth development sector in the early-nineties, during my undergraduate studies at Johnson & Wales University College of Business. With my combined interests in LGBTQ organizing, youth empowerment, and activism I discovered a collectively run grassroots summer camp in New Jersey for kids with queer parents, where became a counselor and board member for years to come. I have been passionate about empowering youth to fight for social justice ever since!
I served as an education coordinator for homeless youth in Michigan and moved to San Francisco in 1999 to fill the role of National Field and Chapter Coordinator for Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere (COLAGE). Currently, I am the Northern Region Supervisor for California Youth Connection (CYC), one of nation’s leading statewide advocacy organizations for current and former foster youth, where I have been employed since 2002.
